Medistim Launches a New TTFM Probe Line for Vascular Surgery

The conference is this year held in Athens, Greece, from the 22nd to the 25th of September. Medistim’s flow probes are based on the proven TTFM technology. Used with the VeriQ™ and VeriQ™C systems, they provide fast, accurate and reproducible measurements of blood volume flow intraoperatively. The new and CE marked probe line is specifically designed for peripheral vascular surgery, enabling flow measurements through larger vessels, typically from 5 to 18 mm in diameter.

The probes are steam autoclavable to meet worldwide sterilization standards and ergonomically adapted to vascular procedures, which range from carotid endarterectomies and femoropopliteal bypass surgery to flow measurements of AV fistulae. While Medistim’s equipment has traditionally been used primarily by cardiac surgeons during bypass surgery, and Medistim is the world leader within quality assessment of coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), the company sees significant untapped potential within the global vascular market, which is estimated to be about 600,000 vascular procedures annually.
